YTrimmer ("we", "our", or "the service") is a free, browser-based YouTube audio trimmer. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We do not collect personal data. YTrimmer does not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use.

We may collect basic, anonymised usage analytics (e.g. page views, country of origin) through standard web server logs. This data is never linked to an individual and is used only for service improvement.

YTrimmer enforces a limit of 2 free trims per day per user. This counter is stored entirely in your browser's localStorage — it never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data will reset the counter.

Audio is streamed from YouTube to your browser via our server-side proxy. We do not store, cache, or retain any audio content on our servers. The audio stream is forwarded in real time and immediately discarded.

All audio editing — trimming, cutting, encoding — happens entirely inside your browser. Your final audio file never leaves your device.

YTrimmer retrieves audio from YouTube (via yt-dlp). Your use of YouTube-sourced content is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

We may use a CDN to serve static assets. Standard request logs may be retained for security and debugging for up to 30 days.

YTrimmer does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We may store small values in your browser's localStorage for UI state (e.g. zoom level, daily usage counter). No data is shared with advertisers.

YTrimmer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
